Kit McDeere is a disgraced home caregiver who has one chance to redeem herself: She's assigned to look after the ailing, elderly Lenora Hope, a local Lizzie Borden figure The Only One Left was the best of the three (the other two being Lock Every Door, which I REALLY did not like, and The House Across the Lake, which I mostly didn't like)
